Death Valley’s average high ranges from 65 degrees to 118 degrees. Its low temperature average ranges from 40 degrees to 92 degrees.
Record daily temperatures
Death Valley's high of 134 degrees on July 10, 1913 (while questionable) is the world record for hottest observed temperature. It also hit 130 in recent years, the highest reliable temperature on Earth. The all-time low of 15 degrees was set in January 1913.
Record daily precipitation
The most it has rained in one day is 2.2 inches in 2023, from the remnants of Hurricane Hilary, which broke a record set the year prior. A number of days have not seen measurable rain observed.
